Currently undergoing a period of growth and transformation, we are currently seeking a full-time 2IC/ Assistant Care Coordinator to join the educational leadership team at our Early Learning Centre (ELC).

Set in a stunning natural environment, Windermere’s Frankston ELC offers a caring and supportive learning environment for children. From extensive, interactive outside play spaces – complete with veggie garden – to dedicated workrooms and separate sleep rooms for infants, children will be encouraged to thrive. Our purpose designed ELC is a first class facility offering regular and structured care.

About the opportunity

Utilising your strong leadership and supervision experience, you will be responsible for supporting, mentoring and leading an established team of warm and skilled educators. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Director – Early Learning Centre by managing the day-to-day operations of the ELC, including; ensuring the centre operates within existing legislative and funding compliance requirements, coordination of student placement program with Monash University, implementing innovative and quality program leadership, leading the team in the absence of the Director - ELC and being a positive and encouraging advocate for change.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a self-directed, mature professional who is passionate about early childhood education and care that results in positive, lasting outcomes for children, their families and the community.

About you

You will be tertiary qualified in Early Childhood Education (i.e. Bachelor in Early Education). Furthermore you will have highly proficient communication and coordination skills as well as demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience of working in Early Childhood Education, specifically within a Long Day Care setting. Your exceptional leadership and people skills with a natural ability to listen, learn, influence and build effective relationships with your team will be key to your success.
