Wild At Heart is seeking an experienced Arts Program Manager to run our statewide songwriting and artist development programs for people with disability including mental illness.

The songwriting program supports a vibrant community of over 60 songwriters from all over Victoria to be cultural contributors through songwriting, recording, performance, online distribution and broadcast. Artists range from beginners through to accomplished independent songwriters.

The artist development program aims to support artists to record and release their original music, to develop their careers and gain access to the music industry. This is a new program with scope for significant development.

Both programs are co-designed and led by participants and peer artists. The Arts Program Manager will work closely with and support peer leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the development, growth and delivery of a statewide program of workshops and mentoring in songwriting, music and artist development
  • Recruit, contract and manage professional music mentors and volunteers to deliver the program
  • Create and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including participants, families, support workers, partners, funders, music industry, media, referral organisations, local and state governments, contractors and employees
  • Identify and apply for funding for the program and new initiatives
  • Market and promote the program with stakeholders, mainstream and social media
  • Manage program finances including the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) payments, invoicing and grant acquittal processes

Employment: 4 days per week part time contract until end of 2021 with new contract depending on funding.

Wage: $72,361 – $77,854 depending on skills and experience.
