Manager Policy and Health Promotion

Women's Health Victoria
  • Fixed term to 30 June 2022
  • 0.9 EFT

Women’s Health Victoria (WHV) is a statewide leader in women’s health promotion, advocacy and support services with a proud history of over 27 years. We are an independent, feminist, not-for-profit organisation. We advocate and build system capacity for a gendered approach to health that reduces inequalities and improves health outcomes for women.

The impact of COVID-19 and a strong policy agenda has put women’s health and gender equality firmly in the spotlight. Now is a great time to join Women’s Health Victoria to help us achieve our vision - women living well: healthy, empowered, equal.

Our current Manager Policy and Health Promotion will be leading work to respond to the recommendations of the recent Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System and supporting the Women’s Mental Health Alliance.

As a result, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced manager to lead the policy and health promotion portfolio over the next 12 months.

This role will suit an experienced manager with expertise in policy and health promotion gained through roles in women’s health, gender equality or prevention of violence against women and supported by post graduate qualifications.

Highly developed interpersonal and networking skills are essential to the role, as is a track record of leading collaborations across sectors. Excellent written communication, policy analysis, health promotion and knowledge translation skills are critical, as is the ability to manage multiple streams of work across your team.

This role is 0.9EFT (days to be negotiated) fixed term to 30 June 2022.

WHV offers excellent salary packaging benefits, flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to be involved in making a difference in the lives of Victorian women.
