  • Location: Berry Street Office, Morwell- Gippsland (Regional position and travel required within the Gippsland region with some travel within Metro Melbourne). This role requires employee to use own vehicle
  • Conditions: SCHADS 4.1 + Vehicle Allowance Full time 1.0 EFT Ongoing

Whitelion has been contracted by the Department of Health & Human Services to deliver the Community Integration Program which is incorporated in the Better Futures model with the aim to build networks of supportive relationships for young people in their local community. Whitelion is providing a hybrid model which encompasses the following key services:

  • Community engagement and capacity building
  • Harness community effort through a place-based partnership approach
  • Coordination and participation in the engagement strategy for young people in Out of Home Care on Child Protection Orders
  • Delivery of community links for young people and volunteers within the broader community

Your responsibilities will include:

The Community Integration Leader reports to the Southern Area Manager and key result areas include:

  • Community engagement and capacity building
  • Harness community effort through a place-based partnership approach
  • Delivery of community links with young people and volunteers within the broader community
  • Coordination and participation in volunteer recruitment, training and ongoing supervision and support of volunteers
  • Program documentation and evaluation
  • Workplace health, safety and wellbeing
