About us

WHISE is a primary prevention and health promotion agency that works to see a future where all women in southern metropolitan Melbourne are healthy safe and thriving. We are front and centre of work in our region to prevent violence against women, create gender equity and improve access and support for women’s sexual and reproductive needs across the Southern Metropolitan Region.

We work with government, not for profit agencies and community across 10 Local Government Areas to create real impact, and right now, we are looking for a great team player who is keen to play a role in creating a better future.

The Role

This newly designed part time (3 days per week) role will be key to WHISE’s Communications delivery, running of events and support to our business operations.

The role will work closely with the Operations Manager and Communications Coordinator to support the successful delivery of meetings and events run by WHISE and support the distribution of WHISE communications. The role also provides business support to the organisation as required and will be expected to attend team meetings and activities to support their full engagement in the busy and dynamic work of WHISE.

About you

You are a real team player with a tenacity to roll up their sleeves, work collaboratively and see what’s possible. You have demonstrated your capacity to work in similar not for profit environments, you are a feminist and want to play your role in achieving the mission of WHISE – to see that all women in our region are safe, healthy and thriving.

You will have a great knowledge of using a variety of web-based comms and design tools such as hootsuite, canva, venngage and Mailchimp, are completely comfortable to organise meetings and events using video conferencing technology as much as “in person” forums.

In addition to this, you have excellent organisation and time management skills, have a proactive approach to work and can priorities your tasks to support a busy organisation.
