The successful applicant will be required to provide telephone, face-to-face and online advice to private and social housing tenants in the Wheatbelt. To provide appropriate referrals to health/community adjunct services and similarly, to provide support to health/community service workers in tenancy matters.
When required, provide casework services to tenants including advocacy and representation in the Magistrates Court.
The role also requires the development and maintenance of education initiatives delivered to both individuals and the wider community (including the online community). You will also be required to maintain and extend existing community service and agency networks.
Whilst you will be based in Northam you will be required to undertake travel by way of outreach, to ensure that those living in the regional areas of the Wheatbelt are appropriately serviced.
You will work within a supportive and friendly team environment. The hours are generally Monday - Thursday from 8am to 4pm.
