Women’s Health East is a women’s health promotion agency based in Doncaster East and working across the Eastern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne. We offer flexible working arrangements and we are currently working remotely. Women’s Health East’s vision is equality, empowerment, health and wellbeing for all women. Our priorities are to advance gender equality, prevent violence against women, and improve women’s sexual and reproductive health.

  • 2 x Mandarin and English-speaking
  • 3 days per week, 6 month contract

The Health Education Officers will attend an accredited training course at the commencement of appointment and receive on-the-job training and professional development throughout the appointment. The Health Education Officers will have the opportunity to gain relevant experience through conducting community engagement activities and delivering in-language women’s health education sessions with migrant and refugee women in community settings on COVID and other health issues. They will actively contribute to the planning and evaluation of workshops. 

Health Education Officers will have:

  • Demonstrated fluency in English and Mandarin.
  • Relevant experience in health promotion, community development, health, or welfare fields. 
  • Demonstrated experience communicating and liaising with a wide range of organisations and individuals of varying backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with MS Office programs and videoconferencing platforms.
  • Current driver’s license.
