WGEA is the Australian Government’s key agency charged with promoting and improving gender equality for all people in Australian workplaces, through providing advice, tools and assistance to employers and through the assessment, measurement and communication of workplace gender performance. All private sector employers with 100 or more employees are required to report against six gender equality indicators, which have been developed to address the most pressing contemporary challenges to gender equality in Australian workplaces. We are expanding to work with federal, state and territory public sectors.

This hands-on role is an integral part of the team, working collaboratively to develop, and deliver high impact media communications that capture hearts and minds, stimulate thinking and debate, and drive action inAustralian workplaces.
Our Agency is looking for an experienced, driven individual with an excellent understanding of media, along with experience developing and delivering media and communications strategies to join our team.
You will have the opportunity to utilise your experience as a journalist or media and communications specialist to develop and implement media and communication activities.
Your passion for storytelling and your ability to translate data and performance into compelling narratives will enhance the Agency’s capacity to engage and motivate employers to take action.
