Circus Nexus is your connection to Melbourne’s circus arts. It uses circus and physical theatre to stimulate creativity and make a tangible difference to the lives of young people from diverse backgrounds. It provides training in circus arts, a performance space, a rehearsal studio and an incubator program for up-and-coming artists.

Circus Nexus has a full time CEO, four other staff and 25 sessional trainers and coaches. It has an annual turnover of about $600,000 with income from a grants, fees and donations.

The Circus Nexus board is responsible for governing and overseeing the affairs of Circus Nexus. It has 5 members and is seeking to fill the vacancy for a General Board Director.

Circus Nexus directors are expected to attend board meetings once a month, which are held in the evenings, and occasional meetings of working groups.

The board is particularly interested in attracting applicants who are young (under 40 years), from culturally diverse backgrounds and First Nations people.
