We are focused on providing our children, young people and clients with a high level of quality care who, in turn, provide exceptional quality of care to our service users.

We are currently looking for a Team Leader to join the Children's Service Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of support services, including the supervision and support to Support Workers
  • Provide direct assistance and support to child and young persons, and or adults with a disability
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders including clients, families and guardians
  • Undertake rostering of Support Workers
  • Undertake administrative duties including but not limited implementation, review and maintenance of individual service agreements
  • Provide On Call Services as required

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum degree or diploma in Community Services, Youth Work or similar, or equivalent experience working with children and people and their families in a community services environment
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching and team management skills
  • Strong understanding of trauma and its impact on the development and behaviour of children and young people
  • Demonstrated ability to be adaptable to changing circumstances and organisational requirements, and contribute to the needs of a rapidly expanding service
  • Experience or knowledge of the Children's Guardian accreditation process and NSW Statutory Out of Home Care Standards
  • High level of written, verbal and computer-based communication skills, including high level negotiation skills
  • Current Driver's licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check and a Criminal Records Check obtained within the last 6 months
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.

Holding a current Working with Children Check and completing a National Criminal History Record Check clearance are requirements of this position.
