The Western Sydney University 2020 – 2025 Indigenous Strategy seeks to position WSU as a university that serves and empowers our community as an anchor institution to the region while being recognised as a national leader in Indigenous education, employment and research. In order to achieve this, the Indigenous Strategy presents strategic objectives in seven areas of Indigenous engagement: students; employment; research; learning and teaching; community engagement; leadership; and cultural viability and knowledge. Building Indigenous capacity through the Director of Indigenous Learning and Teaching will ensure that Indigenous content is accurate, appropriate and supports all students at Western Sydney University.

Badanami Centre for Indigenous Education currently has an opportunity for a Badanami Student Success Officer to join their team on a part-time, fixed-term basis.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Badanami Centre including student support service delivery, mentoring, transitional and pastoral care of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. You will work in close partnership with other centres, schools and Academic Support units to improve and enhance the student experience whilst working collaboratively to improve retention and graduation rates by monitoring, tracking and improving the student life cycle.

This is a part-time, fixed-term position offering 21 hours per week until 7 March 2024 based at the Hawkesbury Campus.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 6 - $98,696 to $105,828 p.a. (comprising Salary of $83,399 to $89,426 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).

The above salary ranges are at 1.0 FTE. The salary will be paid pro-rata based on 0.6 FTE.
