About the role

This position sits within the AOD and Homelessness cluster and the Mobile health Access Point (MhAP) program, a mobile health service in the Western suburbs. The MhAP Team Leader provides day to day operational leadership for the MhAP program, along with developing and fostering a cohesive, supportive and positive working experience for all staff members.

Your daily duties will vary but your main focus will include:

  • Undertake responsibility for the MhAP Program, including planning, coordination, implementation and administration
  • Provide professional leadership, advice and prioritise and monitor workflows for program staff members
  • Provide culturally appropriate engagement, assessment, intervention and support services for vulnerable people accessing the MhAP program
  • Facilitate a range of responses to meet the needs of the clients, including brief interventions, primary health support, AOD / mental health support, and referrals

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline or management
  • Minimum of two years professional experience in a similar position
  • High-level analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to take initiative in order to deliver innovative solutions
  • Demonstrated experience responding to crises and accessing other support services
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and to build and maintain partnerships with service users, the community, other service providers and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to oversee staffing, budgeting, data collection and reporting practices
