The LGBTQIA+ Peer Work Program seeks to improve the health and wellbeing of the LGBTIQA+ community by providing recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally safe support. LGBTQIA+ Peer Workers will provide short-term support, with an emphasis on assisting consumers to navigate health and community services. The positions will be embedded into cohealth's mental health pathways team and will receive capacity building support from cohealth's Diversity & Inclusion team (including specialist mentoring through the Zoe Belle Gender Collective). The positions will be based at cohealth's Footscray and Collingwood sites.
