About the role

The Capability Network is responsible for a number of key functions which support cohealth to achieve its strategic goals through the development and implementation of organisation-wide strategies, systems and processes. The Network seeks to continually improve systems and processes to optimise organisational effectiveness and works in partnership with all networks to promote growth, sustainability and organisational performance and accountability.

The Infrastructure team has responsibility for functions that support organisational sustainability, capability and productivity which include Information and Communication Technology, Knowledge Management, Client Applications & Health Information, Capital Planning & Development and Property & Asset Management. The team ensures that facilities, equipment, knowledge and technology systems and resources are fit for purpose and support productivity and the delivery of quality services to the community. The team also takes responsibility for the development and management of corporate customer service systems to ensure that requests from internal clients are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.

As cohealth grows and develops, the Knowledge Management team is key to collating, standardising and making accessible organisational knowledge. The team is also responsible for implementing a Knowledge Management Strategy, identifying potential areas for improvement and developing new solutions to facilitate good knowledge management. The team works collegiately with other capability teams including Client Applications and ICT and has stakeholders across cohealth and with outside organisations to support and promote the use of good Knowledge Management principles and processes.

Position responsibilities:

Knowledge Management

  • Contribute to the development of cohealth's Knowledge Management Strategy
  • Oversee the inception and ongoing development of the Knowledge Management Team, including championing Knowledge Management activities
  • Line management of members of the Knowledge Management team
  • Oversee management of cohealth's knowledge sharing and collaborations tools, including SharePoint, Teams and Power Platform
  • Promote Knowledge Management practices throughout cohealth, including overseeing education and support to improve knowledge sharing and collaboration
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of ‘knowledge base' channels in various forms, including key SharePoint Communication Site pages, contact directories, video repositories, and platforms to connect coworkers across the busines

​Solutions Development

  • Champion discovery processes to better understand the needs of the business and the capabilities of our systems to improve them, translating into potential projects and managing them to completion
  • Oversee systems development projects including scoping, requirements definition, development and support
  • Ensure business requirements are understood and accepted by stakeholders, before scoping and managing application and system development to enhance the suite of tools available to cohealth staff and clients
  • Contribute to the implementation of actions arising from cohealth's Strategic Plan, including participating in Design Lab activities and other projects
  • Work collaboratively within the Infrastructure team and the wider organisation
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers in Capability, as well as Cluster Leads from the Services network and beyond

General

  • Work within limits of confidentiality and privacy
  • Participate in Performance Appraisals as directed by the line manager, as well and hosting for direct reports
  • Work in ways that support and uphold cohealth values and code of conduct
  • Maintain integrity in adhering to personal and professional accountabilities, including personnel and commercial knowledge

About you

Qualifications, skills and attributes and the critical behaviours a person is required to fulfil the requirements of the job.

Qualifications - Tertiary Qualifications in Information or Knowledge Management or equivalent, or equivalent work experience

Attributes - Organising, planning and project management skills. Ability to prioritise competing business needs and work effectively with stakeholders across a broad spectrum. An enthusiastic and energetic person who is committed to working collaboratively with staff and managers across cohealth

Skills - Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts in layman's language whilst being able to translate operational needs into technical requirements

Knowledge - Knowledge Management best practices and theory, Microsoft 365 suite, with Power Platform and SharePoint administrator experience.

Key Selection criteria

Required

  • Demonstrated Knowledge Management and Solutions Development experience, including - but not limited to - Knowledge Management principles and application development
  • Advanced administrator knowledge of the Office 365 platform
  • Experience in management of a small team of technical / customer support staff
  • Demonstrated success in the delivery of major organisational projects
  • Proven administrative and organisational skills with an ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team
  • Ability to manage varied, high priority tasks within limited time frames
  • High-level interpersonal skills and ability to support others
  • Ability to contribute to strategic planning, and operationalising those strategies
  • An enthusiastic and energetic person who is committed to working collaboratively with peers, other staff members and other organisations
  • Technical Project Management experience, covering process mapping facilitation, requirements scoping, business cases development, task management, solutions testing and solutions delivery

Desirable

  • Demonstrated experience of the Microsoft Power Platform including Power Apps and Power Automate.

  • Experience working in a similar role within a community or other health organisation
  • A current driver's license
