Position summary

The Gatekeeper is primarily responsible for client reception, registration, appointment scheduling, data entry and other day-to-day functions across multiple cohealth sites. They are the first point of contact (both face to face) for most clients who access care at cohealth.

Position responsibilities

  • Check reasons for clients visiting clinic - effective communication
  • Taking clients temperature via infrared gun (checking for fever above 38 degrees or history of fever)
  • Handing out PPE to clients coming into Clinic
  • Redirecting anyone with fever cold and flu
  • Take details from client to arrange an appropriate appointment
  • Accurate data entry and scheduling of appointments

Position requirements

  • Relevant experience in the healthcare sector
  • Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
  • Police Check
  • Current Victorian Driver's License

Key selection criteria

  • Advanced interpersonal skills and ability to support others with day to day problem solving
  • Ability to manage varied high priority tasks within limited time frames
  • Experience and demonstrated understanding of health and community services and resources available to clients

If you have experience in areas of AOD or community Mental Health, your application will be highly regarded.
