About the role

cohealth Arts Generator is led by two part-time Coordinators - an Artistic Lead and a Business lead. These roles are complementary and work collaboratively in leading the program and team.

The Coordinator (Business Lead) is a general manager-style role for cohealth Arts Generator. The role provides leadership for all operational and business development aspects of the program. This is an exciting time for cohealth Arts Generator, and this role is essential in shaping the long-term future of the program. The Coordinator (Business Lead) is the lead contact for all Arts Generator business, develops and sustains internal and external relationships with partners and funders (including scoping and securing funding opportunities), and oversees all aspects of finance, reporting and other areas of business.

The Coordinator (Business Lead) ensures the conditions are in place to facilitate the sustainable delivery of high quality, health-centric arts programs and, with the Coordinator (Artistic Lead), is responsible for demonstrating the value of the program. Your daily duties will vary but will include:

  • Work autonomously in overseeing all day-to-day operations of the Arts Generator program, including but not limited to: reporting, contracts and compliance, budget management and payments, relationship brokerage and management
  • Support the Coordinator (Artistic Lead) and team in program development/delivery, focusing on ensuring that all program objectives and responsibilities to funders and partners are met and reported on in a timely manner
  • Prepare and manage budgets for cohealth Arts Generator and its constituent projects, producing reports when required. This includes securing and maintaining funding opportunities, managing all payment procedures and maintaining the team credit card and reconciliations
  • Works proactively (and in consultation with the Coordinator (Artistic Lead)) to ensure there is high visibility of every aspect of the Arts Generator program (via internal and a range of external channels)
  • In consultation with the Manager - Prevention and Coordinator (Artistic Lead), develop a sustainable business strategy for cohealth Arts Generator. This includes seeking, developing and maintaining relationships with donors, partner organisations and government funders

About You:

  1. Identifies as a person of colour / Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, and/or demonstrable experience working with culturally diverse communities
  2. Relevant tertiary qualification and at least 2 years' experience in a similar managerial role in community development, community arts or an arts field - demonstrating how you have worked autonomously to lead day-to-day operations (including budgets) and business development, in a detail-oriented way
  3. Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritise and meet deadlines
  4. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, using this skill to develop partnerships
