We have exciting opportunity for a Community Engagement and Planning Lead to join our team and manage community engagement and health concierges.

This program is intended on building the knowledge, and linking local targeted communities with testing, and information about the physical restrictions required for reducing the risk of community transmission of COVID19.

cohealth will lead the work in LGAs in the North and West mainly at the high- and low-rise public housing to support local community's and other community health services responding to the need of their communities. The aim of the program is to increase testing in CALD communities and to reduce the transmission in the area.

Your proven experience in community engagement, leadership and your tertiary qualification will see you easily deliver on the following as you:

  • Lead a small team of community coordinators in the North LGA's
  • Lead communication and codesign with CALD communities to shape culturally safe and responsive COVID testing options
  • Represent cohealth at meetings with DHHS in developing work on community engagement and health concierge models
  • Work closely with the team to identify the gaps in different communities to access COVID testing and development and implementation of well-considered action plans to bridge the gaps

What you will need:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a role with skills and approaches demonstrably relevant to that of Community Engagement
  • Minimum of five years' experience managing and leading others
  • Qualification in community development, social work or related area
  • Ability to manage complex projects, organise and prioritise tasks; work to deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • Detailed understanding of current trends in community engagement and development within community health services and local government settings
