We have an exciting opportunity for a speech pathologist to join our team in a part-time (3 days per week) temporary (12 month) capacity for maternity leave coverage, with the possibility of extension and growth of the role ongoing. You will join a multisidisplinary team with another Speech Pathologist, dietetics, podiatry, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, social work, nursing and more! The role encompasses a mixed case load of adult clients across the lifespan, with a mix of funding across NDIS, CHSP, Home Care Package, Medicare and DVA. We have a team of ~70 staff, working across our two campuses in Sinnamon Park and Chermside.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Provision of contemporary customer-focused speech therapy services including:

  • Assessment of customer speech, language and/or swallow, and development of individual treatment plans and goals to address deficits in these areas;
  • Delivery of high quality intervention and advice;
  • Regular review of customer treatment plans and goals;
  • Assisting customers to achieve optimum outcomes and safety in communication and swallow.

In this role you will deliver intervention as a part of a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) which aligns with the strategic goals of the Health and Wellbeing team within Community Care and Inclusion and Wesley Mission Queensland (WMQ).
