The Head of Communities and Partnerships leads the delivery of high quality services to our customers, partners and communities through research and review, designing programs and services, planning for community development and partnership activities, measuring, and reporting on outcomes.

We are looking for a social leader who can drive the development and delivery of innovative social programs and lead social outcome measurement across our business. You will lead and deliver on customer experience improvement, customer engagement, and community development initiatives. You will drive and cultivate strategic partnerships for the improved wellbeing of our customers.

About the Role

  • Full Time (38 hours/week)
  • Permanent role
  • Senior Management Team position
  • Working across Link Wentworth's various locations

This role is key in supporting Link Wentworth to achieve its strategic goals by developing and implementing the Community and Partnerships Strategy.

Key outcomes sought from this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Leadership of the Communities & Partnerships division, assisting to build and maintain a one team culture through effective management and leadership practices which support employee capability in a safe and collaborative environment
  • Leading the development of customer service strategy in consultation with relevant business units. 
  • Measuring impact and outcomes through our outcome’s framework 
  •  Building corporate and community partnerships
  • Driving tenant engagement by cultivating strong practice, coaching, and supporting a dynamic and skilled team 
  • Driving community development and capacity building outcomes by cultivating strong practice, coaching, and supporting a dynamic and skilled team
  • Leading social housing service system coordination
  • Working closely with internal operational (and back office) teams in the organisation to identify service issues, and to develop and implement solutions
  • Contract & strategic partnership management, building partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including support providers, government and non-government organisations and other CHPs to deliver better outcomes for tenants and communities

We are looking for:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in social sciences and/or extensive relevant demonstrated experience 
  • Proven record of successful leadership in client-focused service delivery and development of operational strategy, policy, and practice 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering outcomes reporting
  • Demonstrated experience in social and community service program planning, development and implementation 
  • Demonstrated experience in community building/development planning and delivery 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing relationships with a broad range of senior stakeholders both internally and externally 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing or delivering joint partner services by non-government and government agencies 
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of community or customer engagement strategies and knowledge of community engagement practice
  • Knowledge of and/or relevant experience in social housing sector 
  • A commitment to Link Wentworth’s values of Customer Focus, Respect, Integrity, Compassion & Ambition
  • A current driver’s licence valid in the state of NSW
