Wentworth Community Housing is seeking applications from suitably experienced professionals for the position of Case Worker in our Community Services team.

This particular role delivers specialist support to clients in the Together Home program.

This service:

• Supports people who have been sleeping rough into stable accommodation, linked to wraparound supports.
• Will deliver 20 Accommodation packages and 20 Support packages over 2 years
• Delivers support through a Housing First approach to secure housing linked to intensive and integrated support

This opportunity is a full-time maximum term role up to 30 June 2022.

This role is based in our Penrith office, with some flexibility to consider remote working options during the COVID pandemic. Housing First client support is delivered in response to client needs and may be outside of office hours.

Core Criteria:

1. Relevant tertiary qualifications and / or extensive human services industry experience
2. Experience in and understanding of the philosophy underpinning case management including trauma informed practice
3. Understanding of housing and support issues facing adults experiencing homelessness
4. Demonstrated experience in delivering a responsive service to people with complex needs
5. Strong listening, communication, interpersonal and interviewing skills
6. Demonstrated ability to maintain culturally appropriate practices in delivering services
7. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and relationships with a wide range of human service groups and organisations
8. Understanding of ‘Housing First’ principles and a commitment to the ethos of the ‘Housing First’ model
