We are seeking someone to lead our IT and information management function and implement a roadmap for aligning with ISO 27001.

While it is not expected the manager will have technical expertise across all IT and IM functions, they should have a strong IT or IM base knowledge that enables them to support staff, manage contractors and specialty consultants with strong critical thinking, risk management, and excellent communication and leadership skills.

This position offers the flexibility to be based at our Werrington Park Corporate Centre office, with the opportunity to work some days from home in line with our Work From Home Policy.

This position is being offered in a full time capacity and is funded until June 2023. Future employment is subject to ongoing funding.

Remuneration: From $110,000 p.a., plus the option of NFP salary sacrifice tax benefits

About the role

The Systems and Information Manager role is a pivotal position to elevate our information security management capabilities and lead the organisation towards ISO 27001 alignment.

The role is responsible for managing the IT/IM team, ensuring the smooth running of our information security operations as well as supporting the growth of our existing analytics capabilities. It will provide guidance and leadership to organisational projects involving information management, ensuring consistency and rigour in decisions and activities relating to the classification, handling, storage and retention of information.

Essential Criteria:

  • A strong background in IT and/or information security management, with relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • An understanding of or exposure to information security management systems (ISMS) and ISO 27001.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex technical language into every-day terminology and develop clear policy and procedural documentation.
  • Experience working within a Microsoft based environment.
  • Proven experience in leading projects and managing the risks and outcomes of multiple projects at multiple levels across an organisation.
  • Experience in managing, coaching and guiding employees to achieve successful outcomes.
