About the role

The Program Development Officer will work as part of the Populations in Focus team to deliver programs across general practice and the community with a particular focus on Quality Improvement and chronic disease.

Requirements

Essential requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, management, business or related field.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to speak well in public and liaise with a range of people and organisations at different professional levels.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement approaches with the ability to design, implement and evaluate projects.
  • Demonstrated strong organisation and project management skills with an ability to set and manage priorities, plan and act to achieve desired outcomes within a specified time frame in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Demonstrable ability to use information computer technology (ICT) effectively to support program implementation including Microsoft office suite, customer relations databases, e-mail, and internet.

Desirable requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience or knowledge of commissioning of services and the development of contracts including the management of contractual relationships with commissioned service providers.
  • Knowledge and / or experience of the primary health care setting within the Australian context.

This position is being offered in a full-time capacity. This appointment will be a maternity leave replacement to a maximum term of 12 months.
