About the Role

This newly created role will work collaboratively with key stakeholders, partners and staff to undertake the commissioning, delivery and management of initiatives and programs that support the development and capacity building of Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) services in the Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health region. This includes supporting both new and current services, and services that support the Aboriginal community.

Integral to this role is your ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with services and other key stakeholders and the ability to manage and monitor commissioned service contracts.

This position is full-time and is funded until June 2023. Future employment is subject to ongoing funding.

Requirements

Essential

  • Ability to take responsibility, demonstrate autonomy and expert judgement within an area of work with the ability to take responsibility for key program outcomes.
  • Highly developed communication and engagement skills to enable effective communication with a diverse range of people from different organisations and professional backgrounds.
  • Design, develop and integrate multiple pieces of work or project/program outcomes whilst considering risks and mitigation requirements for the organisation.
  • Tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in the field of health, business or project management.
  • Proven ability to utilise information technology tools in particular the Microsoft suite to an intermediate level.

Desirable

  • Tertiary level learning in the area of health, mental health and/or alcohol and other drugs with an understanding of issues affecting service provision and or equivalent training and professional experience.
