The Contracts & Project Officer will contribute to the work of the Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Team to develop, deliver and manage contracts for mental health services in the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Lithgow and Penrith regions.

Requirements

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong communication and engagement skills to provide the ability to liaise with a range of people from diverse organisation and professional levels.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and provide recommendations regarding potential courses of action.
  • Ability to make well developed judgements and operates within broad parameters. Take responsibility within the context of self-directed work outcomes.
  • The ability to develop project outcomes in line with project/contract and team timelines with consideration to multiple inputs.
  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in project, contract or business management.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Interest in the area of mental health and a willingness to develop knowledge of key issues affecting services in the sector.
  • Proven ability to utilise information technology tools in particular the Microsoft suite to an intermediate level.
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence and access to a comprehensively insured motor vehicle.
  • Working with Children Check (if Appl.).

This position is full-time (part-time considered for 4 days per week) and is funded until June 2021.Future employment is subject to ongoing funding.
