The Support Worker will be required to travel to various locations to deliver services. The role will undertake various support item delivery in accordance with the participants NDIS plan. Support categories include; assistance with daily life, transport, assistance with social and community participation, improved daily living skills etc.

As a Support Worker, you will deliver a variety of services to support people in living fulfilling and meaningful lives in the community. The successful candidate preferably will be someone with flexible availability (highly desirable) and a commitment to providing a reliable and person-centred support to our participants. You must have the ability to transport participants in your own vehicle.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting participants with personal care
• Domestic and daily living support
• Transporting participants
• Meal preparation and shopping assistance
• Promoting independent living, community participation and social inclusion

This is a challenging but equally rewarding role best suited for someone who is experienced in implementing complex support plans in line with NDIS or justice system guidelines.

What do you need?

• Availability to cover a range of shifts including sleepovers, weekends and more than 1 shift per day is highly desirable
• High level of organisation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Can do attitude and problem-solving skills
• A current valid Driver's Licence and a registered vehicle (including insurance)
• Satisfactory Police Records Check [less than 12 months old]
• NDIS Workers Screening Check - CURRENT or willing to obtain before commencement
• Working with Children's Check CURRENT or willing to obtain before commencement
• Certificate of Completion - NDIS Worker Orientation Module https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au/
• Preferred Minimum Certificate lll in Disability, Mental Health, Individual Support, Home and Community Care or other related fields but not essential
• FULL COVID19 Vaccination Certificate with booster or valid medical exemption
