In this role you will be part of the launch of one of the first of 60 Mental Health Locals in Victoria.

This is an amazing opportunity to shape the future of peer and community-led mental health services.

This local support is a key recommendation of the recent Royal Commission into Victoria's mental health system and promises to make our community a better place to live.

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Local

Wellways, Mentis Assist and Peninsula Health are working together to provide mental health and wellbeing supports in Frankston to ensure everyone can access treatment and care closer to home. 

The new Frankston Mental Health Local will provide welcoming and inclusive support for people aged 26 years and over who are experiencing mental health challenges, including people with co-occurring alcohol and drug addiction treatment and care needs.  

We are working with the local community and people who have a personal experience of mental health issues and recovery to build these services so they are the best they can be.  Our services will be led by lived experience and coproduced with the local community so they are the best they can be. 

The Frankston Mental Health Local is committed to reconciliation, lived experience and inclusivity. The Role

This is the perfect role for you if you are positive, enthusiastic and are always willing to go the extra mile to help others.

As our new Receptionist/Administrator, you will be the heart of our Frankston Local and will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment for all those who visit and work here.

You will be an integral part of our organisation and your demonstrated communication and organisation skills will be an asset whilst overseeing the smooth running of our front of house. This includes diverting all calls to the relevant department, accurately recording, and sharing of messages; distribution of incoming and preparation of outgoing mail; inventory management of stationery; as well as ensuring effective calendar management and cleanliness of all meeting rooms on site.

Your administrative support will support the team and reinforce the effectiveness of the wider organisation and you will be making a meaningful contribution to our overall success.

Requirements

  • Relevant Administration qualification or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 years' demonstrated experience in providing reception and telephone services support
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Committed to delivering high quality outcomes for customers
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • National Police Check, Working with Children Check, Evidence of right to work within Australia and evidence of COVID-19 booster vaccination or valid medical exemption.
