About the position

Reporting to the Annual Giving Manager, this newly created role will coordinate end-to-end annual giving direct marketing programs from early concept development, content development, internal and external stakeholders liaison, through to execution and evaluation.

The Annual Giving team is responsible for acquiring new donors, retaining and converting current donors by delivering acquisition, retention and regular giving appeals. The portfolio also includes the management of mid-level giving programs, staff giving, memorial appeals, and may include other mass-fundraising programs in the future. The team is responsible for growing and retaining the number of donors to the Institute, developing a revenue stream, and building the platform for major giving, bequests and regular giving.

Selection Criteria

  • This role is ideally suited to a Marketing or Fundraising professional from the not-for-profit sector
  • Demonstrate end-to-end program management experience, from early concept development, content development, internal and external stakeholders’ liaison, through to execution and evaluation – in Fundraising Direct Marketing/Appeals preferable.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate respectfully and sensitively with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Strong team player – responsible, flexible, approachable with a strong and demonstrable commitment to customer service.
  • An enthusiastic self-starter, self-motivated, excellent attention to detail and approachable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and database skills – Raiser’s Edge experience preferable.

Terms of appointment

This position is available for 2 years in a full-time capacity. Salary is HEW 6 ($82,321 -$89,108). In addition, up to 17% superannuation and very attractive salary packaging options are available.
