About the opportunity

This role can be challenging and is equally rewarding. Your flexibility across a 24/7 roster will help provide consistent, holistic support for individuals to build their capacity and achieve their goals.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Certificate IV in Disability Services or equivalent qualification and/or equivalent experience in the disability or mental health sectors
• A responsible attitude and strong rapport building skills - you will have no problems maintaining positive, dignified and respectful relationships with participants, their families and others
• Ability to use clear and concise language and ability to set clear boundaries

• A high level of time management skills and accountability

• A practical understanding of ‘duty of care’ to delivering support services and ability to escalate issues when needed

Desirable

• Demonstrated experience in Aged Care, particularly surrounding medication administration and prompting
