About the opportunity

We are seeking applications from females**. You will be a mature mentor and great listener with a strong understanding of professional boundaries. Your dedication to ensure people feel heard, valued and empowered to achieve their goals and choices will be the measure of your success. This role can be challenging and is equally rewarding. Your flexibility across a 24/7 roster will help provide consistent, holistic support for individuals to build their capacity and achieve their goals.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Certificate IV in Disability Services or equivalent qualification and/or equivalent experience in the disability or mental health sectors
  • A responsible attitude and strong rapport building skills - you will have no problems maintaining positive, dignified and respectful relationships with participants, their families and others
  • Ability to use clear and concise language and ability to set clear boundaries
  • A high level of time management skills and accountability
  • A practical understanding of ‘duty of care’ to delivering support services and ability to escalate issues when needed

Desirable

  • Demonstrated experience in Aged Care, particularly surrounding medication administration and prompting
