The Weave Kool Kids Program requires a qualified, passionate and experienced children’s/youth worker to be part of the Kool Kids early intervention team. The Kool Kids team supports children and young people residing in South Eastern Sydney, Waterloo and Redfern areas.

The Kool Kids Youth & Community Worker will work 4 days per week (28 hours) running activities and programs for children aged 7 - 12 years, and transitional leadership programs for young people aged 12 to 18 years who are transitioning to and going through high school.

The Youth & Community Worker is part of a small team of committed, energetic and enthusiastic staff. The program focuses on providing strengths based, trauma informed group activities after school and throughout the school holiday period. This is a specialist child and youth program that aims to support the development of health and well-being, resilience and confidence in the children and young people we support.

Grade: SCHCADS SACS Level 2 Paypoint 2.1 - 2.4: $30.21 - $32.96 per hour depending on qualifications and experience

The successful applicant will have:

• Experience in planning, developing and facilitating programs for children and/or young people
• Experience working with Aboriginal young people
• Knowledge of the community sector
• A current full NSW driver’s license
