Community Program & Support Coordinator - Beecroft House

Beecroft House is a transitional housing property for Over 55s homeless women which is run by Link Housing and Hornsby Kuring-Gai Women’s Shelter.

We are looking for a Community Program and Support Co-ordinator to offer Case Support to the 20 women resident at the property as well as liaising with the local community

Key duties include:

  • Work with service partners and volunteers to support the effective functioning of Beecroft House.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement the Beecroft House Outreach and support program.
  • Provide tailored programs and case work that supports individual tenants living at Beecroft House.
  • Provide direction to volunteers who may deliver employment and education programs, hobby groups and other wellbeing activities.

Work in partnership:

Work in partnership with Link Housing to support tenancy related issues. Collaborate with the Link Housing Community Programs team to deliver group education and wellbeing courses.

RESPONSIBLE TO:  The HKWS Shelter Manager and Board

Position grade: SCHCADS level 5.1

Hours: 28 hours per week including some afternoon/evening shifts 3-8pm, plus potential for on- call.

Essential Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work
  • Employment in Mental Health Services for a minimum of 3 years’ experience
  • More than 5 years’ experience delivering case management, counselling or mental health services to women experiencing hardship
