About the Role

The Event Manager is responsible for delivering corporate fundraising events across multiple states in conjunction with volunteer State Committees coordinating all aspects of WaterAid’s major corporate events including four Gala Fundraising Balls and other fundraising events such as Golf Days (nationally). The role is responsible for end to end event management including key stakeholder management, planning, forecasting, budgeting and volunteer coordination. The role also leads the design and promotional materials relevant to fundraising events.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated depth of experience in managing catered events on both a large and a small scale;
  • Extensive networks across venues and suppliers in the events sector;
  • Proven experience managing a diverse group of stakeholders;
  • Strong negotiation skills and budget management experience;
  • Creative flair, with experience designing and running similar events;
  • Relevant Event Management or Marketing qualifications;
  • Volunteer management, fundraising and NFP experience will be viewed favourably.

Furthermore, you will be a self starter with exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written), will have a proven ability to manage multiple and simultaneous deadlines and an ability to work independently. You will have a strong commitment to international development and our values.
