About the Role

Following a successful international appointment, we are now seeking an experienced Director of Finance and IT. Reporting to the CEO and as a key member of the WaterAid’s senior leadership team, you will lead a high performing team across finance and IT, driving our financial strategy to enable us to deliver on our mission. You will also have an overall responsibility of Information Technology, Company Secretarial and related governance duties.

We are looking for a values driven leader and a change manager, a natural relationship builder with a proven track record in overseeing financial and operational functions within an organisation. Given immediate priorities in this next phase of our strategy applicants with International Non-Government Organisation experience will be viewed favourably;

To be successful in this role, you will also have:

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen and proven successes driving high performing teams and delivering on financial strategy
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience driving compliance, risk and information technology deliverable's
  • International governance and risk management experience, within the NGO environment
  • Excellent communication, analytical, influencing and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of gender equality, diversity and inclusion matters
  • Relevant qualifications, Company Secretarial Training and a Member of the ICAA or CPA
  • Knowledge and experience in SUN systems and Quick Books or equivalent is highly desirable
