We have an excellent opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Resource Worker to join our Spring into Learning program based in Kalgoorlie.

Spring into Learning is a program that provides fun and engaging experiences to enable all ages of children to develop at their own pace and in their own way.

The Spring into Learning program consists of activities that encourage learning through play and develop the skills that will prepare children for school.

About you

The successful candidate will have experience working with Aboriginal families and demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal family functioning and childrens development
  • High level interpersonal skills and have the ability to engage and maintain working relationships with a range of groups and families
  • Have the ability to work in a culturally appropriate and safe manner
  • Demonstrated understanding of ‘child safe’ environment

The Role

This position is responsible for preparing and planning sessions that will assist children and their families in facilitating a smooth transition to school.

You will also need to:

  • Provide a satisfactory current National Police Clearance
  • A current Working with Children Card
  • Demonstrate your understanding of ‘child safe’ environment
