Wagga Women’s Health Centre Inc. (WWHC) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to providing an alternative, feminist healthcare service run by women for women, ensuring accessibility without financial and cultural barriers to the women of Wagga Wagga and surrounding districts.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Client Services Manager for WWHC works closely alongside the Centre Director and Community Engagement Manager to oversee the delivery of all our client-facing services. The purpose of the role is to lead and enhance the quality and governance of client service delivery in line with our vision, mission and values.

The successful candidate will be critical in reviewing, updating and implementing our ‘model of care’ for all client services. These client services include, but are not limited to:

  • crisis services for women experiencing D&FV, sexual assault, perinatal depression, and more,
  • trauma-informed counselling for individuals and groups,
  • group health and psychoeducation
  • massage,
  • dietetics,
  • women’s health, and
  • integrated case management.

You will be part of a small but flexible team of women who work collaboratively to deliver client services, primary prevention projects, and advocate for women’s issues. The role can be flexible to meet the needs of the right candidate and is anticipated to be the equivalent of 3-4 days a week. This is a 1-year initial contract for parental leave backfill with the opportunity for an ongoing role depending on funding at an equivalent level.

THE RIGHT APPLICANT WILL:

  • Lead and innovate our client service offerings, informed by current evidence and aligned with feminist and trauma-responsive practice.
  • Liaise with, and co-ordinate, clinical supervision of client-facing staff.
  • Mentor and support client-facing staff.
  • Provide expert opinion for grants and reports.
  • Collaborate with the Centre Director on enhancements to the delivery of client services.
  • Attend relevant Management Committee and Management Sub-Committee meetings afterhours as required.

The applicant must have formal university bachelor level qualifications or higher in a discipline related to client service delivery including, but not limited to, psychology, social work, counselling, medicine or related. In addition, accreditation with a relevant professional body (APHRA, APA, ACA other relevant). Experience in client service delivery with a trauma-informed and women-led approach will be advantageous.

This role will require a valid Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and be up to date in First Aid and Mental Health First Aid (the successful applicant will be required to obtain these prior to commencement if they are not current).
