Donor Experience Manager

Women's and Girls' Emergency Centre

ABOUT US

Women’s and Girls’ Emergency Centre (WAGEC) is a feminist, grassroots organisation that supports women and families in crisis and advocates for social change in the community. We work on the lands of the Gadigal, Wangal and Dharug people of the Eora Nation.

Every night, we support 200 women and children impacted by homelessness, domestic violence and systemic disadvantage. We do this by providing material aid, case management, biopsychosocial support, accommodation, and crisis responses.

Equally, we seek to address the underlying causes of gender-based violence through primary prevention activities with communities that want to be a part of the global movement to end gender-based violence in a generation.

THE ROLE

The Donor Experience Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing WAGEC’s individual giving, regular giving, donor stewardship, and community fundraising programs. This role is central to optimising the donor lifecycle to drive acquisition, retention, upgrades, and lifetime value. Your work will ensure that all fundraising initiatives are informed by data and insights, maximising donor engagement and fostering long-term loyalty.

Working within the Fundraising & Communities team, you will lead the development and execution of a compelling donor experience at WAGEC. You'll support and guide the growth of mid and major donor strategies and corporate partnerships. And you'll play a critical part in gathering and leveraging compelling content and stories to enrich fundraising appeals and impact reports.

This is a full-time, permanent role. Four days per week (FTE 0.8) may also be considered.

The core responsibilities of the role are:

  • Develop and strategise the launch of WAGEC’s first Regular Giving Program.
  • Create tailored donor experiences for all audience segments, including individual givers, regular givers, and explore opportunities for upgrades and renewals.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Fundraising and Communities and Fundraising Officer to establish benchmarks for existing fundraising data and performance metrics.
  • Lead the planning and execution of multi-channel fundraising appeals, including digital, direct mail, and major campaigns like EOFY and Christmas.
  • Oversee the management and optimisation of WAGEC’s CRM system to ensure data integrity, effective segmentation, and dynamic reporting. Leverage data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and optimise donor engagement.
  • Ensure fundraising activities are aligned with organisational goals and that WAGEC’s fundraising programs continue to evolve and thrive.

ABOUT YOU

  • You have a minimum of five years’ experience in managing sophisticated individual giving programs, with a demonstrated track record in donor acquisition, retention, upgrade, and lifetime value (LTV) optimisation.
  • You have proven success in executing complex multi-channel fundraising campaigns, including digital, direct mail, and event-based strategies.
  • You have extensive experience in CRM management, with a focus on data segmentation, predictive analytics, and donor lifecycle management. An understanding of Raisely, etapestry CRM or other similar platforms for donation processing and fundraising management is required.
  • You'll have a strong background in stakeholder management and relationship building, ensuring successful campaign delivery within defined budgets and timelines.
  • We're looking for a manager who brings strategic thinking, technical fundraising expertise, offers leadership and mentorship to teams and is strong on aligning fundraising activities to our purpose.
  • You have a degree-level qualification in marketing, communications, fundraising or a related field, or commensurate experience. Relevant certifications in donor management or CRM systems would be advantageous.
