The Western Australian Council of Social Service Inc (WACOSS) is the peak council of community service organisations in Western Australia. WACOSS is part of a national network comprising ACOSS and the State and Territory Councils of Social Service, which represent the interests of low income and socially disadvantaged people across Australia, and assists and supports the community sector with the delivery of community services.

This DropIN Project Officer- Marketing, Communications and IT role is part of the WACOSS Corporate Service team and plays a pivotal role in the management, conception, design and delivery of marketing strategies to achieve sustainability of WACOSS’ social enterprise DropIN Solutions. Additionally this role is responsible for the optimisation and growth of WACOSS online platforms DropIN.org.au and WAConnect.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will have experience in the fields of marketing, graphic design and web development (using CMS like Wordpress), as well as project management in a community services setting. Prior experience in the not-for-profit sector is preferred. The ability to work with Microsoft Office and Adobe suite tools such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator is essential. Experience setting up marketing campaigns on MailChimp and Podio at a proficient level would be an advantage.

The primary duties will include achieving sales goals and generating sustainable revenue streams for the social enterprise; managing and optimising the two online portals, creating user engagement campaigns and growing our user base; coordinating (and taking a role in the production) the design and delivery of graphic design and website development projects for community service organisations; supporting WACOSS’ marketing strategies by promoting events and Conferences; coordinating the design and delivery of WACOSS government and sector reports, flyers and banners; troubleshooting and providing support to our user base; and sourcing and managing a team of graphic designers and web designers.
