The Western Australian Council of Social Service Inc (WACOSS) is a peak body for the not-for-profit community sector in Western Australia. WACOSS provides independent and informed policy advice, and plays a key coordination and leadership role for the sector. We work on behalf of disadvantaged people and communities towards achieving social justice in WA.
WACOSS is a small but dynamic organisation whose impact and output far exceeds its size. We are proud to have nearly 300 members, both organisations and individuals, and together are committed to doing all we can to achieve our vision of an inclusive and equitable society for all Western Australians.
Working with the Executive and Social Policy Teams within WACOSS, the Manager Special Projects (MSP) will oversee and implement key externally-funded projects that engage and facilitate input from key stakeholders into the design of programs, measurement of outcomes and good practice service delivery across the community services sector in WA.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within the community services sector at a senior management level, interacting with a broad range of stakeholders including senior government and not-for-profit managers, frontline therapeutic staff, Aboriginal service providers, and researchers.
To increase your chances of being the successful candidate you will need to have the ability to work independently, build strong relationships, build trust, flexibly and use initiative to solve problems.
The successful applicant must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills to pull together all aspects of the job.
