  • Remunerated at Social and Community Services (WA) Interim Award 2011 – Level 4/5
  • Salary packaging up to $15,900 per FBT year
  • May occasionally require evening and weekend work

The WAAC was born from a desire to end the trauma, fear, stigma and isolation caused by HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. We exist to provide support options to people who are living with HIV, or who may be at risk of infection, and to encourage the community to adopt a healthy approach to sex and relationships.

We deliver on our Vision, Mission and Values by providing counselling, assistance with case management, clinical services, education, and community engagement. We bring people together in a safe environment to increase awareness and enable informed decisions about sexual health and wellbeing.

This important and highly valued inaugural role makes a significant contribution to our entire organisation, through primarily supporting the CEO and Director Operations to fulfil their roles as efficiently, effectively and expertly as possible.

We welcome applications from those who can clearly demonstrate and evidence achievement of the essential outcomes on The H Factor and selection criteria described below.

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum three years’ proven administrative experience working at executive level
  • Experience and ability to multitask, proactive approach to problem solving and strong decision-making skills
  • Experience and ability to work well under time pressure, excellent time management skills and organise daily workload by priorities
  • Professional level verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertly builds respect across the organisation and does not rely on organisational hierarchy to get things done
  • Adopts a collaborative style liaising and partnering with internal and external stakeholders
  • Detailed understanding of the full Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn new databases and software systems
  • A current National Police Clearance – valid within the last six months
  • A current Driver’s License and the ability to drive fleet vehicles when required 

Desirable 

  • Qualifications in business, administration or related fields.
  • Experience working in a Nor For Profit (NFP) or Non Government Organisation (NGO) – preferably in the human/community services, community health and wellbeing sector/s
