The Centre offers programs and services in a friendly, purpose-built environment to meet the needs of the local community. These include adult education, lifestyle & recreational courses, children’s activities, a social enterprise café & catering and room hire.

Along with focusing on supporting the programs, classes and events that operate at the Centre, the Manager will be required to identify and cater to the new and emerging needs of the Vermont South community– all the more important as the Centre moves to reopen post the COVID-19 shutdown.  Partnering with local community groups will be essential in delivering the range of community education and activity programs that the local community needs.

Identifying and responding to the needs of young people will be an early priority, as well as developing programs and opportunities that take advantage of the wonderful and unique café facilities.  Working with a supportive Board of Management, you will be establishing a strong policy framework that outlines the processes and direction of the Centre both now and into the future.

Some of the key responsibilities will be:

• Providing support, guidance and coaching to a small workforce
• Growing the Centre’s membership base whilst developing community connections
• Developing the strategic direction of the Centre in line with its values, vision and mission
• Implementing Child Safe Standards
