Very Special Kids provides holistic care for Victorian families facing the potential death of a child with a life limiting condition. We provide; counselling and emotional support for the whole family, medically-supported respite care and end of life care and long-term bereavement support. Our free-of-charge services help more than 850 families across Victoria, with ongoing support, from the child’s diagnosis all the way through to bereavement or the child joining adult services.

We have a rare senior leadership position for a General Manager to lead our service delivery teams and broad portfolio of quality and improvement strategic initiatives across our organisation. Reporting to the CEO, your key focuses will extend through a range of clinical governance and operational areas including oversight of NSQHS Standards accreditation, QA processes, service improvement projects, collaboration with key external service providers and government departments, as well as operational areas including service reviews.

You are a visible, authentic leader who enjoys mentoring and developing others, and come from a health or community service setting with a proven track record as a change champion and strengths in business acumen, process improvement and project management. You are an outstanding communicator with strong persuasive and engagement skills and can influence at all levels.
