We are a leading volunteer recruitment and support agency, delivering services that help to create stronger and more resilient communities, supporting people with disability and older people.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will be supporting clients to live independently at home through the provision of domestic assistance. By applying a personalised approach to your duties, you will ensure that the service provided best meets the needs of the individual. Key duties on a day to basis include:

• Carry out housekeeping duties in line with Volunteering Gold Coast Policies and Procedures such as (but not limited to) dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, emptying bins fridges and freezers, as indicated in the clients care plan
• Administer basic first aid as required
• Washing clothing including hanging out to dry and folding of clothes
• Changing of linen as required

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Current unrestricted QLD drivers licence, reliable vehicle and clean driving record.
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Min 1-year regular residential cleaning experience
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and pride in carrying out work of a high standard
• Dependability and punctuality

Desirable

• Certificate III in Individual Support
• Experience supporting people with disabilities or the Aged Care sector

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).

The position is casual.
