The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for the successful execution of fundraising campaigns that raise much needed funds for Volunteering Gold Coast. 1-2 years’ experience is essential in the fundraising sector. This role is a 3 day a week permanent part time position.

Volunteering Gold Coast (VGC) is one of Australia's leading volunteer recruitment and support agencies - recruiting, supporting, screening, training and placing approximately 4,500 new volunteers each year. We collaborate closely with many other Not-For-Profit member organisations, and forward thinking, socially responsible corporates.

VGC also provides community transport for people 65+ years old, under the age of 65 with a chronic illness and NDIS participants. Travelling more than 936,000 kms annually, and driving over 8500 people around the Gold Coast.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will play a critical role in developing, nurturing and maintaining engagement with donors, community fundraisers and supporters. Experience in fundraising is essential, and a knowledge of digital fundraising platforms preferred, to gain broader reach and a more innovative approach.

You will also have the opportunity to be involved in other business development and sponsorship programmes. This role makes a key contribution to VGC’s sustainability, and hence its social impact.

Joining a collaborative and passionate team within the Marketing and Communications department, you will be responsible for:

  • Giving, bequests and donations and other areas as directed.
  • Initiating, coordinating and administering local fundraising opportunities, deliver local events, help deliver national fundraising and awareness campaigns and work towards and achieve annual targets and KPI's.
  • Liaising easily with fundraisers, supporters, corporates the general public and to manage enquiries regarding fundraising.
  • Working with online fundraising platforms to develop the user experience that will encourage more fundraising.
  • Creating and managing a database for direct contact for fundraising.
  • Managing key stakeholder relationships within fundraising and identify new stakeholders.
  • Coordinating fundraising resources, online and print.
  • Providing monthly reporting on fundraising activity, scope and success.
  • Being creative and innovative in developing ideas to increase fundraising for VGC. Working with the various teams including Partnerships, marketing, events and volunteers.
  • Operating synergistically with the rest of the VGCs marketing team, in creating marketing collateral and ensuring website content is updated with the support of Marketing.

ABOUT YOU

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Established at least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar fundraising role.
  • Sales experience and a proven ability to network, meet and present to a variety of audiences.
  • Experience of working positively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Creative, with above average communications skills (written and verbal).
  • A track record of implementing successful fundraising campaigns and be able to work to agreed KPI’s.
  • Strategic and innovative thinking, blended with a desire for real social impact.
  • Ability to project manage multiple campaigns, while maintaining an attention to detail.
  • Well-developed time management, and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in the writing, development and delivery of fundraising appeals and other fundraising collateral.
  • You will have a proven track record of working with community fundraisers and developing opportunities for corporate engagement and support within the NFP sector.
  • Experienced in word, excel or similar, social media and other digital platforms.

This is a permanent Part-Time position, 3 days a week / 22.5 hours per week. Due to the nature of this role, some after hours or weekend work or travel may be required.
