About who we support

Vision Australia provides services to more than 25,500 people clients from 35 Vision Australia centres in Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia; and through outreach programs in the Northern Territory and Tasmania.

About the role

• Provide timely, relevant, accurate and reliable information to the Senior Finance & Management Accountant ensuring accuracy of the general ledger;
• Undertake end of month processes including monthly reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, monthly allocations of costs and income for grants, maintenance of fixed assets ledger, petty cash and credit card reconciliations;
• Reconcile investment portfolio to fund manager reports;
• Undertake year end reconciliations including assisting in compilation of annual financial statements and other regulatory reporting requirements.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or equivalent studies;
• Experience in preparation of annual statutory financial statements;
• Detailed knowledge of accounting standard;
• Demonstrated technical excellence including Advanced Excel skills.
