  • HEP 8, $97,805- $110,141   per annum plus superannuation. This is a full time (36.75 hours per week), fixed term role until May 2022

The position is located at our Footscray Park Campus. Note that the Inclusion and Engagement remain working from home at this time.

About the role

In this newly created role, you will have the opportunity to work as part of the Inclusion and Engagement team. The role will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to bring their innovative and creative thinking and practices and apply them to create sustainable inclusion practice for VU students, staff and our community.

About the person

You will be a dynamic, natural communicator with a remarkable creative ability to engage and influence others and bring them along a cultural change journey with you.

You will have a deep understanding and experience in implementing Diversity and Inclusion Programs, as well as practitioner knowledge of current trends to enhance and create engagement practices within the University. 

You will be a self-starter, known for your ability to solve problems, lead complex programs and be able to deliver project outcomes within set time frames. Your knowledge of operations, governance and decision making processes and procedures in a University or large complex organisation setting, will be a great asset to have in this position

Duties

Duties you may perform will include:

  • managing the development, delivery and evaluation of innovative, sustainable, evidence-based training, publications and learning resources for both students and staff across the University,
  • using a rigorous co-design process; leading a program of community engagement for selected Diversity and Inclusion priorities both within and beyond the University;
  • developing sustainable Inclusion and Engagement programs related to all aspects of Diversity.
  • managing the production of reports, grant applications and other program documents; and
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of University policy and frameworks to support different strands of Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Coordinate Diversity and Inclusion Networks across the University.
