ABOUT US

The Victorian Pride Centre aims to be the most well-loved and visited home for the LGBTIQ+ community in Australia.

The Pride Centre, opening in mid-2021, will house major LGBTIQ+ community organisations and support a number of LGBTIQ+ community groups. Organisations will offer a range of direct services to the LGBTIQ+ community, including primary and allied health services, counselling and wellbeing services, alongside select professional services. Specific communities, including multicultural/multifaith groups, young people and older LGBTIQ+ people will be supported through programs and activations delivered by organisations and community partnerships. It will be a place of social connection for LGBTIQ+ communities. The Pride Centre will be a major destination for the local, national and international LGBTIQ+ community and the wider community.

We want to reflect the broader community and all the intersections of the LGBTIQ+ community. We welcome applications from people with a diverse range of backgrounds including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People, people with a disability and people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an all-round administration professional with 3-5 years experience in a comparable role to join our team to support the day-to-day operations of the Pride Centre. This is a full-time role, based at 79-81 Fitzroy Street, St Kilda.

If you like a job with variety then this may be the role for you! As well as providing traditional administrative support functions, the role will also regularly interact with our tenants, volunteers and visitors to provide customer service and facilities operational support. The Pride Centre will be a vibrant hub for LGBTIQ+ communities and our Administration Officer will play a key role in supporting the use of the Pride Centre by our tenants and visitors.

The successful applicant will have 3-5 years of experience in providing high quality administrative and operational support and will bring their strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills to make an effective contribution to the team and the broader organisation.
