About Us:

We are Victim Support Service, a not-for-profit, community-based organisation that provides free and confidential help to victims of domestic and family violence and survivors of institutional abuse. We work in partnership with other organisations in Adelaide and regional areas. With 40 years' experience, we know the impact crime and abuse has on people's lives and what it takes to help them get their lives back on track.

We're proud to provide counselling and other support services to survivors of crime and abuse in South Australia and we want to make sure relevant clients and stakeholders are aware of the supports available to them in navigating the National Redress Scheme processes.

We are looking for someone special to join us in our Redress Support Service team as a Project Coordinator - Outreach. Could this be the opportunity you've been looking for?

The Role

As Project Coordinator - Outreach, you will be providing administrative and community engagement support to the Redress Support Service team. You will be responsible for developing and delivering trauma informed community education packages about the service and engaging with key stakeholders across metro and regional South Australia to increase awareness of the National Redress Scheme, to support survivors of institutional child sexual abuse through the application and healing process.

The position requires flexibility in working hours and work outside of normal business hours from time to time, as well as a drivers' license and some regional travel.

About You

You're a positive, professional and independent worker. You are someone who likes to organise your own time and work autonomously, whilst enjoying the support of an equally committed team. You pride yourself on your ability to relate well to people from all walks of life and ideally, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in social work or counselling, as well as some experience in project management. Importantly, you're looking for your next challenge; an opportunity to bring your suite of skills and experience to an important sector.

What we offer

We're committed to caring for our staff. This work can be as rewarding as it is challenging, so providing benefits and opportunities to develop and grow is important to us. We provide a flexible workplace, a 10% superannuation, and a competitive salary sacrifice scheme.

Appointment subject to DHS Working with Children clearance.
