Following a year of tumultuous change caused by bushfires and the coronavirus pandemic, health equity and a focus on health and wellbeing has never been more important.

VicHealth’s Social Marketing & Communications teams have a critical role in engaging with and delivering health promotion messages to the Victorian community.

We work with our partners to do everything we can to promote healthy eating, encourage regular physical activity, prevent tobacco use, prevent harm from alcohol and improve mental wellbeing.

The Brand and Content Team will create compelling, engaging content and translate complex information for a range of VicHealth audiences.

The Multimedia Content Producer reports directly to the Brand and Content Manager and works in close partnership with all Social Marketing & Communications teams to deliver effective, strategic communications.

In this new role, the successful candidate will be responsible for creation of high quality, multi-channel content for different audiences, from ideation through to production, approval, publishing and evaluation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for hands-on, in-house content production as well as external supplier management where required.

About You

You have the ability to film a quick interview, record a podcast or audio grab, create graphics and take photographs on the fly for social media and work with external suppliers on animations and other large projects.

You combine a can-do attitude with a creative mindset and are comfortable adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced working environment.

You possess the ability to use initiative, problem solve and work collaboratively within a strong team environment.

  • Remuneration: $87,802 (plus superannuation and other benefits)

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Design, Marketing or Public Relations or similar area
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing content strategies and plans in a content-rich environment, including commissioning content and asset production
  • Strong experience planning, producing and editing videos and podcasts – from ideation to implementation and evaluation – including at live events and for multiple channels
  • Strong understanding of digital design principles across a variety of different media forms; proficient user of Adobe Creative or Cloud
  • Experience shooting and editing photography for use across multiple channels including website and social media
  • Knowledge of CRM
  • Experience in data analysis, monitoring and reporting
  • Experience using Google Analytics, CMS, and social media for work purposes
  • Basic understanding of SEO
  • Experience working within the communications, public health, community or government sectors preferred
