We are looking for an organised and customer focused individual to join our Auslan Connections booking office as Language Services Coordinator.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Language Services Coordinator - Education you will be responsible for booking and managing requests for interpreting, note taking and live captioning with a focus on the education sector (primary/secondary school, TAFE, Universities). The role will require the individual to allocate language services and coordinate with Language Services Practitioners and the institutions. The Language Services Coordinator will support Auslan Connections with other language services requests and associated administration and customer service.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who has 2+ years of experience working in a demanding customer service environment, with relevant administrative experience.

As the booking office is a very fast-paced environment, your exceptional organisational, time management and communication skills, along with your ability to work well under pressure, problem solve and handle difficult situations in a professional manner, will ensure your success in this position.

IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE, YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • A positive, resilient and flexible nature
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Word and Outlook
  • Ability to learn new software, in particular our bookings management system
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when dealing with sensitive information.

A qualification in Auslan or interpreting, or knowledge of the Deaf and hard of hearing communities will be well regarded.
