About the role

The Executive Assistant provides strategic and administrative support to the Commissioner and Executive Director, builds and maintains relationships with Ministerial and department offices, coordinates the Commission's workflow and determines priorities based on strategic demands. The role provides a coordinating function for leadership activities and forums, provides administrative support to the board and supports the Executive Director to manage the operational demands of the Commission.

The Executive Assistant manages and coordinates the activities for the Executive Office to provide effective support services to the Commissioner and Executive Director. This includes email and calendar management, providing administrative services to support internal and external meetings and events, including Board meetings. The role also assists with the tracking of correspondence and the coordination of information flow in and out of the Commission.

About you

As our successful candidate, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of executive assistance
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse issues and determine priorities in an environment of tight and conflicting deadlines, to take initiative and work under limited direction
