The Program Manager in the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority Early Years Unit is an exciting early childhood leadership role with opportunity to positively influence delivery of services to children aged from birth to eight years, so as to ensure optimal learning and development outcomes for all children in this age range. A key objective of the role is providing a range of ongoing supports, which will increase knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework by all early childhood professionals.

To be successful in this role you will have a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Studies (minimum qualification) and demonstrated experience as an early childhood professional. You will have strong interpersonal skills that will enable you to work collaboratively within the Early Years Unit and with a range of early childhood stakeholders, including policy makers, researchers and early childhood professionals to develop, introduce and promote uptake of resources that promote quality early childhood pedagogy and assessment practices.

You will be confident in delivering presentations to a range of early childhood stakeholders and be able to identify opportunities for additional presentations to address emerging needs, and find creative solutions to issues or challenges that arise.

About the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority

The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (the Authority) is an independent statutory body primarily responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education.

The Early Years Unit of the Authority has responsibility with the Department of Education and Training for developing and implementing the Victorian Early Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).

To support implementation of the VEYLDF, the Authority develops and delivers a range of resources and professional learning opportunities for early childhood professionals working with children from birth to eight years.
